AT-HOME TRAINING GUIDE

Throughout the year, we challenge you to practice on your own and track your minutes to level up your INDIVIDUAL soccer skills!

This guide delivers simple, equipment-free drills in Dribbling, Passing & Receiving, Shooting, and Juggling & Touch so you can train anywhere, build rock-solid technique, and take full ownership of your progress.

SKILLS

  • Stationary:

    • Tick-tocks

    • Toe-taps

    • Tick-taps (side-to-side rolls)

    • Pull-touches w/ laces **

    • Pull-touches w/ inside-foot **

    • Tick-tock rolls

    • Triangles (single foot) **

    • Triangles (both feet) **

    • Iniesta (drag-catch)

    • Scissors (don’t touch the ball) **

    L-Shapes:

    • Pull and open up

    • Pull across the body

    • Pull and touch under the standing leg

    Turns:

    • Outside-cut

    • Inside-cut

    • Cruyff turns

    • Step-over turns

    Figure-8s: (dribble around 2 cones 5 yds apart in an “8” shape)

    • Right-foot only

    • Left-foot only

    • Inside-feet only

    • Outside-feet only

    • Soles only

    1v1 moves: take a setup touch, execute a move, and getaway fast / close the door on the defender.

    • Chop

    • Feint

    • Scissors / Double Scissors

    • Stepover

    • Roll-stepover

    • Maradona Spin

    • Ronaldo Jump-cut

  • Ball-and-a-wall or with a partner:

    • 1 touch **

    • 2 touch

      • Receive inside-foot, touching outward to same foot

      • Receive inside-foot, touching across-the-body to other foot

      • Receive outside-foot, reaching across-the-body, and touching to same foot

    • 2-walls or group of 3: turning while receiving

  • With a goal:

    • Aim for side-nets

    • Aim for crossbar

    • 1v1 move followed by a shot

    • Full-sprint breakaways followed by a finish

    With a soft target (mattress, large pillow, or cushioned wall):

    • Shoot while ball is moving forward

    • Shoot with power **

  • Juggling:

    • Below the knee

    • Go for your max / personal best

    • Front-spin / no spin

    • Stalls

    • Pickups

    • Freestyle moves

** 2 stars next to the activity means you may add ankle-weights for extra benefit. Please limit ankle weights to 3% body weight.
